Violinist Midori and the Music Sharing organization are seeking talented
violin, viola and cello players to share in the extraordinary experience of
bringing music to Mongolia in December 2009 for the fourth cycle of the
International Community Engagement Program.
Please encourage any violists you know born between December 1, 1974 and
December 1, 1988 to explore this unique performance and community engagement
opportunity. Students of every nationality are invited to apply; tour guides
and translators will be available.
From 10-30 December 2009, Midori and the selected musicians will create
ensembles to give concerts and music presentations in various settings in
Mongolia, including rural areas with limited access to live music. In June
2010, ICEP participants will give a series of Concert-Conferences in Japan,
where they will share their individual experiences with audiences of music
professionals, journalists and the general public. Previous ICEPs have been
conducted in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia.
There is no application fee; full eligibility guidelines and audition details
can be found online at: www.musicsharing.jp/e_community09.html

I just had to share this. Probably the most entertaining talk on classical music. Enjoy!
